JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER [tr][atrb=width,240] At first glance it looks like Gweniever's eyes are any other normal, boring brown colour. But if you look closely, you can see they are quite different. Firstly, she has sort of a mix of both her parents' eyes in shape. They are small and almond shaped, which resemble both her of parents very well. The colours of her eyes are what get people's attention, however. The pupil looks almost pure blue, and has a brown ish tint around it, which blends into a dark, blue. Around the corner there is a hue of gold, with tints of silver in it. Gweniever thinks her eyes as her best physical feature, and she is quite right. Sometimes, like when Gweniever's mad, her eyes tend to turn a darker colour and the pretty blue and gold go away and turn into a dark blue, like the rest of her eyes. Gweniever spitting image of both her parents. If you knew her parents back then, and saw her now, you'd know instantly she was their daughter. She inherited the same light shade of brownish red hair from her mother, skin tone from her father, and different features from the both of them. She has a very innocent look to her, and sort of reminds you of a doll. When she smiles, there are apparent dimples in her cheeks, which only add to her innocence. Her nose she inherited from her father; it's short and slightly pudgy. Gweniever's ears, on the other hand, look almost as if they belong to someone else. They're very obviously small and hide well underneath her hair. Gweniever is seventeen years old, but you wouldn't guess that just by looking at her. She's quite short for her age and people are actually surprised when she tells them she's seventeen. She's a mere five feet, six inches, and has basically stopped growing. It's already been said that her hair is red, but it's also long and goes down to the middle of her back. Gweniever's eyes are a feature she got from her grandmother, actually. Both her parents have brown eyes, but Gweniever came out with a dark, deep hazel color, which is the same color as her grandmother. All in all, Gweniever isn't terrible to look at, but honestly she's not a bombshell either; she's just average. IT'S MY LIFE [tr][atrb=width,240] Gweniever Ophelia Olsen was born to Damien Olsen and Gweniever Lange-Olsen. On a cold, snowy, windy night, Gweniever came into the world. Her mother was too weak to go to the hospital, so her father called a doctor to come to the house. The weather outside seemed to respond to what was going on inside. Gweniever wasn't expected for another three weeks, and she came early. So naturally, the house was extremely busy. It was buzzing about with her father running around, a doctor, a nurse, and even their mother's friend wasn't sure what was going on. Everything they had planned went down the drain because Gweniever came early, so they weren't all the way prepared. Gweniever started showing signs of autism at an early age. She knows something is wrong with her, but she's afraid to speak to him about it. She first noticed it one summer day when she was bored and exploring the grounds around their home. They live in a big house in the beautiful countryside, so there's a lot of room to explore. There was an old shed way in the back that Gweniever had never noticed before. Curious, she went into the shed. She found an old, antique chair. Wanting to try it out, she sat down. If it held she planned to take it and keep it in her room. Well, Gweniever went into the shed and was minding her own business when the shed door slammed shut by the wind. It wasn't a very big shed, and it was dark and musty, and obviously not has been used in years. She was far from the house, so she was basically stuck. Terrified, Gweniever began frantically searching for an alternate escape, but to no avail. Gweniever ended up getting so claustrophobic that she fainted, waking up hours later. It was night time by then, and she finally found a window, broke it, and got back home. She still hasn't told her father about that incident. Ever since then, Gweniever became almost a different child, and her parents noticed. Obviously they knew something was different about their daughter, but they didn't say or do anything, even though they knew they should have. This caused an uncomfortable and awkward silence between her parents. She knew they knew there was something wrong and wasn't doing anything about it, which made her feel resentment towards them, and things have never really been the same since. During Gweniever's first year at Hogwarts, she was automatically pinned as the wild one. She was constantly around friends and always talking. She was extremely optimistic and didn't like being by herself. In her second year, Gweniever thought it would be a good idea to get into something, so she choose Quidditch. She's always liked watching it, but has never played. It showed, and she wasn't chosen to play on the team. Gweniever wasn't really bothered by that, however. In her fourth year, Gweniever tried for Quidditch once more. Having practiced during the last couple summers with her father, she thought she would be good enough. She was only placed as an alternate, and never actually played. This time she was a little more disappointed because she'd practiced so much. She got over it quickly when she learned she was a skilled artist. She began drawing purely out of boredom, but it quickly grew as her main hobby. As a fifth year, Gweniever decided not to worry so much and continue to concentrate on her studies. During her sixth year, Gweniever noticed she was getting bored. Her grades slowly began to fall, especially in Potions. She got extremely nervous about it and began to study frantically. Finally her grades picked up, and have been better ever since. THIS IS ME [tr][atrb=width,240] Gweniever is rarely seen without a book in her hands. She's very studious, and keeps her education at the top of her list above everything. She's extremely stubborn, and will never admit when she's wrong or needs help. Gweniever very independent, and will very rarely let things be done for her. Even though she's not, Gweniever was diagnosed with autism at an early age. For one, she hates to be in a big group of people. She gets so claustrophobic, so much so that she almost starts hyperventilating. She also hates to be touched. She can't even get hugs, or she just feels wrong. She doesn't like the dark either. She's not terribly afraid, she just prefers being in light. You can tell mostly that Gweniever has autism when her schedule gets messed up. There's been only a couple times that Gweniever has had a problem with this, and that's when her friends found out about her autism. They didn't seem to mind too much, but Gweniever was extremely nervous about revealing her secret to them, even though they are her friends. Soon it got out that Gweniever suffers from autism, and the meaner students took advantage of this opportunity, which sent Gweniever into a state of depression which she still hasn't quite gotten over yet. Music is Gweniever's life. She considers it to be second on her list, right under education. She's extremely talented at playing the piano, and plays it frequently. She loves to play classical music, especially Pachabel's Canon in D, which is her absolute favorite song. Not only does she play the piano well, she also plays the violin. When it comes to boys, Gweniever extremely shy. It may look like she's mean and cold, when in fact it's simply that she's shy. She's never been in an actual relationship before, and isn't that surprised. Boys just never notice her; and frankly, she doesn't mind. Gweniever likes to sing as well, but thinks she's horrible at it. Along with music, Gweniever writes poetry as well. She's even composed a few songs with lyrics, but of course has never shown anyone. When it comes to hanging around with her friends, Gweniever seems to be like a completely different person. She's been described as funny, but she doesn't think so, she just calls it good timing. Gweniever doesn't have many friends, but feels she's lucky for the few that she does have. She tends to be a bit picky when she's letting people into her life. She's very loyal to her family and friends, and will dive in front of a bullet before she let it hit you. Gweniever a very good friend, and will never let anything happen to you. Gweniever very talented as well when it comes to writing, which she inherited from her mother. She's been writing stories since she could write, and has even written a book. She's very self-conscious about her writing, and has only shown her parents her work. She's also quite funny as well, even though most people would consider her sarcastic. A noticeable thing about her is that she's also very healthy and can take care of herself. She's been known to take more than one shower a day and hates germs. Gweniever even a tad germaphobic when it comes down to it. She'll never use a public restroom (except those at Hogwarts, obviously), or use a public stairwell. LIKES

THE PERSON BEHIND THE MASK [tr][atrb=width,240] NAME: Susannah. AGE: Twenty-four. GENDER: Female. WHAT ARE YOU?: ADMIN EDIT ROLE PLAY EXPERIENCE: A long time. ROLE PLAY EXAMPLE: As Ophelia continued to toss and turn in her bed, she was getting more and more frustrated with each turn. Insomnia was slowly taking over, she could feel. The later it got, the more awake she became. Looking over at her bedside table clock, Ophelia groaned as she saw it was half past two in the morning. The only sounds being heard were the soft snoring of her dorm mates, and she wished desperately she could join them. Ophelia was almost positive she was the only one awake in the dorm, which made things worse. Well, easier since she was planning to sneak out if she didn't get to sleep soon. Ophelia really shouldn't sneak out, as she had classes in just a few, short hours. But in her mind she knew there was no point in trying anymore, she already has been trying to get to sleep for five hours now. Fifteen more minutes passed, which now made it 2:45 AM. Sighing heavily, Ophelia sat up in bed, swung her feet over and slipped on her house shoes and robe. As Ophelia began to creep her way across the dorm floor, she took out her wand, ready to light it when she entered the pitch-black corridors. That's one of the only things she didn't like about the castle. At night they made it so dark you can't see your nose in front of your face. Ophelia opened the door to the dorm, and began to make her way down the marble steps to the common room. As she neared it, she heard the crackling of a fire. Hm...someone must be up too, she thought, shrugging. Ophelia opened the door slowly and poked her head in, twisting her brow in confusion when she saw it was empty. Okay... she thought, shrugging once more. Ophelia walked across the common room, looking around. She didn't understand why they always left all the lights in the common room It, when the students weren't allowed to leave their dorms after curfew (which, of course, didn't stop Ophelia). Ophelia loved the look and feel of the common room. It was so homey and warm. With its yellow, gold, and red carpet and rugs, big, comfy armchairs couches, Ophelia definitely spent a lot of time there. Finally, Ophelia was out in the corridors, so therefore she took out her wand and whispered, "Lumos," and a glow of light surrounded her. She hoped no professors, prefects, or staff was out for a late-night stroll, she could get detention for this. In her six years at the school, Ophelia has never set foot in detention. This gave her easy access for Slytherin taunting, because she was such a "goody-goody". Though, she shut them up quick because she had something not a lot of people did. As Ophelia began to walk through the corridors, she could now hear not her dorm mates snoring, but now the paintings. They were so annoying sometimes; but they were also very entertaining. In one painting, she saw that it was a painting of a mother and a baby. The baby had woken up, and was crying loudly. The paintings around it woke up as well, and were arguing loudly. Ophelia shook her head and chuckled to herself, and continued on. She was glad she was in Gryffindor, because she didn't have a long way to go to get to her destination in mind. At times like this she would normally go to a secluded area and play the piano, but she didn't know any sound-proofing spells, and she didn't want to get caught. She was actually surprised she hadn't been caught yet. At last, Ophelia pushed open the doors to the towers, slowly, as they creaked. When Ophelia entered the staircase that lead to the rooftop, she had to stop and wait for her eyes to adjust to the sudden, even darker, darkness. It was a small staircase that went up to the roof, but it was extremely dark. In the daytime you could at least have the light coming in from the cracks in the door; but now, nothing. Finally, Ophelia's eyes were adjusted, and she walked up the stairs to the roof, and opened the door. Ophelia was immediately greeted with bright sunlight, as the sun was right over her head. The moon was so big and bright, Ophelia felt she could reach up and grab it. Sighing happily, Ophelia walked over to her usual spot and sat down, looking up at the sky. application created by samantha nicole |
